Dad...

I am grateful to God for the opportunity He afforded me to connect with you.  Not only was a hole filled for me, but also your middle grandson Lil' B, who got to meet, be in awe of you and literally watch a gap close into understanding that insecurities, questions and uncertainties could be filled overwhelmingly by connecting with you. Dad, you are an extraordinary man. As we listened, watched, talked, laughed and touched, I can say in all honesty I am nothing but grateful for the time we had as you instilled courage, a sense of pride and affirmation in me that only I will understand. It made me proud to be from your cloth, and I continue to be, as I’m inspired by the stories I hear of you from family and friends! I see and hear you in my brother Terry Jr. and sister Anika, witness the Easter culture in Kris and thank you for connecting me with Uncle Gerald Sr. I still remember his words... "Nephew, this is your Uncle Gerald. I need to connect you with your Cleveland family." ... Dad, so much to write and so little time!!! I thank God for providing my much needed “Antwone Fisher” moment. I love, respect and miss you Dad!
